RSVP Report - February 2011
By Kala Meadows

In the wake of budget cuts on the national and state levels, with the promise of more to come, RSVP volunteers are a valuable asset to the community and to those whom they serve
at their respective stations, thereby partially closing the gap left by these cuts. Their services are desperately needed due to diminishing staffs, dwindling financial resources and the increased demand for services. Each volunteer brings a unique set of skills and their life experiences to share with family, friends, and co-workers. The only reward they receive is the satisfaction of a job well done and our sincere gratitude for their contributions.

Preliminary plans are being made for our annual Spring Tea when we socialize and recognize our volunteers in an informal setting. We will have more news next month as plans progress.

Seniors, stay warm and well the rest of this winter. Spring is coming!

Welcome to our newest volunteer, Joseph Branco.
