The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program hosted a Garden Tea Party during National Volunteer Week on April 13. Approximately 350 volunteers, staff, and invited guests attended and were treated to delicious finger sandwiches, deviled eggs, desserts, a fresh fruit display and punch. Background music was provided by the Gary Cathey Band.

Volunteers, RSVP and Rapides Council on Aging staff members and Board of Directors
and RSVP Advisory Council visited and renewed acquaintances with each other. Door prizes were given and each guest received a small gift from RSVP. This event allowed us to honor and thank each volunteer for the services that they provide in the community.

As we near the end of the first year of our three year grant, we encourage you to turn in all hours worked and advise the RSVP office of any changes in your address and telephone numbers so that your information will be current in our files.
