The Rapides Parish RSVP program recently hosted an elegant tea party to honor all our active volunteers for the many hours of service that they provide to the community at their respective stations. The celebration was held at the Sai Convention Center where the tables were beautifully decorated with rose petals and elaborate vases of colorful spring flowers. The food, including finger sandwiches, a fruit display and an assortment of desserts was beautifully presented by the Convention Center staff. Sugar free punch and coffee were also provided.

Each guest was presented with a summer straw hat tied with a colorful ribbon upon arrival. Relaxing music played in the background and everyone enjoyed visiting old friends and making new acquaintances. Planning this event was an act of love and appreciation for the volunteers who give so much to others.

June 30, 2010 marks the end of our fiscal and three year grant period. Please turn in all hours as soon as possible at the end of the month so that they will be included in our final report.
