Shown on this page are a very few of the many posters urging all Americans to support their country in its battle against Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan. There were many different posters featuring the saving of products for military use, encouraging volunteer work in support of the war effort and buying US Savings Bonds.
There are a number of posters still in relatively good condition. The Military Museum at Camp Beauregard has some on display. The museum is on the left at the first intersection as one comes thru the front gate. It is open daily Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on weekends for groups with prior arrangements.
There is no admission charge to the museum.
These posters represent an era that is rapidly passing due to the deaths of so many men and women who were in the military at that time and the many government leaders. They truly represent a history that is fading fast. It needs to be remembered by all generations to come.
