CABRINI COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUPS

The following support Groups are sponsored by Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and meet in the Power Center, next to Office Depot, on MacArthur Drive.  Call Becky Watkins at 448-6938 for additional information.

January 5 Yoga Class, 4 until 5:15pm in thePower Center.  Come join us and distress your life!  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.  If you have other props, bring them, too.

January 9 – Morning Widowed Support Group: 10–11:30 am. This is an ongoing support group fro men and women who spouse has died.  This month our focus will be New Year’s Resolutions That Really Work. There will be group sharing time and this group has trained Outreach Volunteers who are available to the newly grieving.  The Morning Widowed Support Group meets on the second Monday of each month.

January 9 – Yoga Class – 4 until 5:15pm.  This is a great way to start your year right.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.  If you have an eye pillow, blanket, block or strap, that is welcome too.

January 9 - Bereaved Parents Support Group – 6:30-7:30 pm., This is an on-going group for parents, grandparents whose child has died. There are trained Outreach volunteers who are available to the newly grieving parents or grandparents. This month our focus is: Starting The New year When You Don’t Feel Like It. This group meets on the first Monday of every month unless it is a holiday.  Pre-registration is required. Brown Bag Supper at 6pm.

January 19 - The Parkinson’s Support Group – 11am-12:30pm and on the third Thursday of each month.  Open to anyone who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their family/caregiver.  We offer educational handouts and programs plus a chance to share with others.  Lunch is provided by Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

January 23 - The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group – 11am-12:30 pm, and on the fourth Monday of each month. This group is designed for caregivers and/or family members of those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.  We offer educational handouts, sharing time and lunch provided by Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital

January 23 - The Alzheimer’s Activity Group – 11am-12:30 pm. For those with Alzheimer’s Disease. The meeting is held on the fourth Monday of every month in conjunction with the Caregivers support Group. The caregiver must attend the Caregivers group and stay on the campus during the group time. Kingsley Place will offer appropriate activities with a fun, hands-on approach,  Lunch is provided by Christus St. frances Cabrini Hospital.
